There has been a lot of change here at Community Colleges for Iowa!
First, congratulations to our Operations and Administration Specialist Annette Heffron (formerly Staples) on her wedding to Larry this past weekend! We are thrilled for you. Her new email is aheffron@ccforiowa.org.
Second, tomorrow we welcome our newest team member Monique Ellefson! Monique will fill a new role on our team as Director of Strategic Initiatives, managing events, programs, and partnerships.
Monique comes to us from Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact where she served as Director of Network Engagement and Program Director for the Campus Compact Civic Leaders AmeriCorps Program. Monique’s journey into civic engagement began as an impassioned student leader at the University of South Dakota. This led her to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Oregon Campus Compact and then as the VISTA Leader for Iowa Campus Compact. After her terms of service, she earned her Master’s of Science in Education at Indiana University, where she was a Graduate Assistant for Community Engagement. In her free time, Monique enjoys spending time with her two cats (Merlin and Pumpkin) and reading as many books as she can manage! Monique can be reached at mellefson@ccforiowa.org.
